The Homemade Explosives: Awareness, Recognition, and Response course is designed to provide emergency first responders with the skills to recognize and respond to incidents involving Homemade Explosives (HME). Emergency first responders are presented with information necessary to recognize HME precursors, HME manufacturing indicators, and HME exposure indicators, and determine pre-detonation and post-detonation response strategies. There is no cost for this course.
For those who are from out of state or do not have an Indiana PSID, please follow the instructions below.
How do I obtain a Public Safety Identification number (PSID)?

Step 1: Go to https://acadisportal.in.gov/AcadisViewer/Login.aspx
Step 2: Scroll down and click “New PSID Request” (About halfway down the page)
Step 3: Click “PSID Application”
Step 4: Click “Apply for a PSID”
Step 5: Provide the necessary information and submit your application.
Step 6: For the last question, if you are not a sworn police officer, you will click the second option “ I need this PSID for Fire, EMS or EMA purposes; even if you plan to become a police officer.” and submit.
Step 7: If you do not receive an email at the address you provided in this application within 7 days, please email psidquestions@dhs.in.gov

This class is identical to the April 14th class. There will be a cost for this training. This training is an IAAI course and you will pay the IAAI fees. The IFITF is solely the event sponsor.
